Please note that this section contains my personal notes from my readings on this topic.

From The Toxic Sandbox (2007) by Libby McDonald; page 149:
Pesticide levels reduced in the bodies of children who eat only organic food
In 2003 a group of researchers from the University of Washington measured pesticides in the urine of twenty-five Washington State children before and after they switched to organic food. After only five days on an organic diet, pesticide residues in urine decreased to undetected levels and remained so until they began to eat conventionally grown food once again. The study concluded, “An organic diet provides a dramatic and immediate protective effect against pesticide exposure.” However, the researchers noted that evidence is still lacking about whether or not low-level pesticide residue in food harms children.
